Over the past fifteen years, I have represented companies in the areas of labor law, employment law, non-compete, trade secrets and restrictive covenant law, as well as general commercial litigation.
During that time, I have worked for some of the best law firms in the country, including Littler Mendelson, Quinn Emmanuel, Akin Gump, and Seyfarth Shaw.
Prior to forming my own law firm, I was the Vice President of Labor Relations for Freeman, a $2 Billion Trade Show and Convention contractor, and the largest in the world. Union members working under CBAs we negotiated installed and worked many of the largest and highest profile conventions in the world, including CES, Comic Con, Shot Show many of the Auto Shows. Other divisions of Freeman provide Audio Visual Services to these shows and corporate events, as well as in-house at hotels.
Over my career, I have negotiated well over 200 collective bargaining agreements, as well as representing management in arbitrations, NLRB hearings and investigations, and provided training in various areas related to discipline, contract administration, and union avoidance.
I am a member of the Maryland, New York and DC bar associations, as well as numerous federal courts including the U.S. Supreme Court.
I have negotiated successful agreements with the Stagehands, Teamsters, Carpenters, Painters, Decorators, UNITE HERE!, the Seafarers, and the Steelworkers. I have worked successfully with stewards, business reps, Union Presidents, and their leadership at their International Unions. Because of my reputation in the labor-management community, I can bring fifteen years of credibility and experience to help with your negotiation.
My hobbies include long and short course triathlons, underwater photography and scuba diving (in case you were wondering where many of the photos on this site came from).
